A Closer Look: Rinker Captiva 186 OB Fish & Ski
April 3, 2013
With the wildly successful introduction last year of the first Rinker outboards in more than 20 years, came a wave of requests for a true fishing package. In response, Rinker has introduced the Captiva 186 Fish & Ski to satisfy the needs of family boaters who need the comfort and watersports performance of a Rinker bowrider while providing fishing versatility for anglers. With classic Rinker styling, the 186 F&S (also available as an I/O) announces its fishing DNA from a distance with a standard bow-mounted Minn Kota trolling motor, and when you get up close, you'll notice a single pedestal seat receiver in the bow, and two at the stern. Conversion from sport boat to fishing machine is a snap. Simply remove and stow bow cushions, place bow deck insert in place and relocate one of the two cockpit bucket seats. To fish from the rear deck, the other cockpit seat quickly mounts atop an included pedestal mount. Just below the rear bench seat is a large, aerated livewell/baitwell with easy access, and on the sides of the in-floor locker you'll find plenty of dedicated rod storage to keep your equipment safe and always within reach. Like all Rinker sport boats, storage abounds whether the boat is set up for an afternoon of skiing and tubing or as a fishing boat. Other trademark standard features such as removable snap-in carpet, a convenient walk-through transom, and a standard custom EZ Loader trailer tie the package together. If you're looking for the perfect combination of family sport boat and tough fishing machine, check out the all-new Rinker Captiva 186 Fish & Ski.
